Commissioned by the City of Gallup NM to commemorate the Route 66 Centennial in
2026, “RUN”, a car-sized jackrabbit running at full speed, made from the disassembled
parts of a 1953 Chevy BelAir, was conceived in recognition of three central themes: the
American West, travelling on the “Mother Road”, and the 20 th Century Auto Industry.
“RUN” was installed at We The People Park in Gallup on October 15, 2025.
